The summer program of New Story Leadership (NSL) — an interfaith partner of BHPC and BJC, and now also Maqaame Ibrahim Islamic Center — is in DC in-person for the first time since before the pandemic. Nine university-age delegates (four Palestinian and five Israeli) arrived in the US on June 12 to spend seven weeks in DC. They are learning together, living together with host families, working together in internships in Congressional offices, J Street, and Democracy for the Arab World Now, sharing their stories with each other as well as with audiences throughout the DC Metro Area, preparing their projects for peace, and socializing together. They will share their stories in Covenant Hall on Sun., July 17. The event will be held in-person and by Zoom. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Gathering Space and on the patio.
