Please join Bethesda Jewish Congregation (BJC), Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church (BHPC), and the Maqaame Ibrahim Islamic Center (MIIC) on Sunday, November 17 for our annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service and Brunch. We will worship with members of three faiths at 10:30 am. and invite you to stay for a delicious brunch at 11:30 am.

One of the traditions of our interfaith effort is to collect food for Thanksgiving meals in support of families in our area! This year we will make donations to two separate groups: the National Center for Children and Families (across the street at 6301 Greentree Road) and Faith Presbyterian Church in Anacostia.

Bring the food list (found here) with you on your next trip to the grocery store and deliver your contribution to Memorial Hall in 6601 Bradley Boulevard by Saturday, November 9, so the youth can organize everything in preparation for the Interfaith Assemble-a-Basket activity on November 10 (this activity is organized by our youth leaders; watch for their email). Basket assembly will also take place on the day of the Brunch on November 17 for our friends at the National Center for Children and Families; food contributions will be accepted at the Brunch.

You also can provide a monetary donation that enables us to include grocery store gift cards for each family to purchase a turkey or other perishable items for their meal by donating one or more $25 gift cards from Giant or through a direct financial contribution payable to either BJC or BHPC with “Thanksgiving Drive” as the memo.  Please deliver gift cards to Rosanna Howard in the BHPC office or Amy Kertesz in the BJC office.
