Financial Literacy Series: Caring For Your Pet
Monday, March 10, 2025 • 10 Adar 5785
7:30 PM - 8:30 PMOnlineThis zoom program is for everyone who has a pet, regardless of your age. You may have a will or trust, appoint someone to be a guardian for your children or make health care decisions for you, but have you ever thought about what could happen to your pets? Under the law, pets are treated as property and without specific instructions, an executor or trustee of your estate can dispose of your pets as they wish.. Please join Bethesda estate attorney Micah Salb, principal attorney for Lippman, Semester & Salb, for a presentation about caring for your pet in the event of your death or incapacity. We will cover why planning is important, applicable Maryland law, and the legal steps you can take to make sure that your companion animal is cared for. Please register below to receive the zoom link, and we hope to see you there.
